It was an amazing trip to Shedd Aquarium! We had a trip to Shedd Aquarium in the class couple days ago. It was a great day for walk out the class room during the summer. Shedd Aquarium is one of the famous tourist attraction in Chicago. I think everyone agree with this, because when we arrived aquarium, it was a long line at the main entrance, and it took us 45 minutes to get in there. It was a free day for Illinois resident visitors, all we required it was a Illinois state ID, then we could get a free ticket.
We finally get in aquarium after 45 minutes, after we walked through the main lobby, there is a giant exhibit aquarium in front of us call Caribbean Reef. There are so many different fish from Caribbean Sea in it. Such as Ray, bonnethead shark, butterflyfish, sea turtle... We were so lucky because it was a diver diving in the giant aquarium and he was feeding the fishes. Ray was ma favorite fish, their mouth located on the bottom of their body, we could see their mouth always like smiling.
After the Caribbean Reef , I went to the ocean exhibit, it was a beautiful exhibit that shows the beautiful world underwater. Pretty corals and anemones, colorful tropical fishes, giant spiders crab, star fishes and sea urchins in different colors, makes people exclaime how amazing the world underwater is! At the time the, the aquarium also appeal to people protect the ocean, leave a great living environment for marine organisms.
Subsequently, I went to the Amazon Rising exhibit, the Amazon exhibit is more than just fish, there are some animals in the exhibit too. Such as monk, snakes, chameleons ,frogs and ducks. The chameleons were hiding so well I could not ever find them. There is a frightful anaconda in one of the exhibition. I am scared of snakes, especially that anaconda as thick as my arms.
However, the trip was great, everyone was enjoyable in the trip. I would love to recommend this place to my friends and family, because it's a great aquarium, they also have the dolphins and sea lions show. But we don't have that much time on Monday, I'll be back next time.
